Tape Ghost (2)

The work from which this piece comes uses found home recordings from reel-to-reel and cassette tapes to explore childhood, loss and “the arrow of time”. The work reflects the differences between the narrative of found photographs and the stories told by found sound recordings.

"Tape Ghost (2)" features a found recording of a young man singing a jolly but melancholy song about the journey to heaven after death. The recording dates from sometime in the 1960’s.
